Howdy! As a native Texan I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a BAS in psychology. While attending college, I interned at Dallas Pregnancy Resource Center. It was there that I discovered my passion for educating, encouraging, and supporting pregnant teens and women through a planned or unplanned pregnancy. My devotion only intensified after witnessing the labor and birth of my best friend’s baby. In that moment I knew this was what I was called to do.
I am a professionally trained and soon certified CAPPA Doula. I am driven by the knowledge that successful birth and postpartum outcomes are greatly enhanced when parents have proper support. I have experience working with full-term babies, preemies, sibling births, and VBACS. My area of care includes hospital births, inductions, planned cesareans, home-births, birth centers and emergency cesareans. I have personal experience with unexpected outcomes. My second child, a daughter, was born full-term. However, her delivery had complication and resulted in an unforeseen change to my birth plan. Although this did not fit my birth plan, it further solidified my belief in the necessity of having excellent birth and postpartum support.
I now offer a relaxing (tailored for you) postpartum organic herbal tea bath for mother and baby. I also enjoy collaborating with parents to develop individualized care solutions specific to their lifestyle, birth plan and delivery outcomes. I believe that a woman should be informed about her birth options and be encouraged to carry out her birth choices. I believe in God’s design of our bodies to grow, protect, birth and nourish our babies I believe giving birth is a natural “God” process. I believe a woman should labor and deliver where she is most comfortable.
