Tawny is a CAPPA trained labor and postpartum doula, as well as a 500 hour certified yoga teacher. She has been teaching pre- and post-natal yoga continuously since 2007. Out of deep respect for the transformation she witnessed her students going through, as well as her own experiences with the arrival of her daughter Athena, she embarked on the journey of becoming a doula and completed her trainings in 2015. She has been attending births and providing postpartum care ever since.
The service Tawny provides her clients honors the unique female body and heart to support women through pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum in the most conscious and empowering way. She believes each woman has an innate wisdom to birth, when encouraged to trust their bodies. Tawny has been guiding women into a deeper connection and care of their body through her doula and yoga work that integrates the mind, body and spirit. In addition to her doula work Tawny teaches yoga regularly, and leads retreats and women’s circles internationally in beautiful pockets of nature. She loves spending time with her daughter and husband and taking her dog for hikes in the hills.
